We are creative by nature, its part of being humans. Creativity is inside of us. If we could go within, we would have a huge source of the highest quality of creativity, but in order to do so, we need to get rid of all the garbage stored in our heads.
We are living in interesting times,
Nowadays, creativity is a popular topic. It’s highly valued and it’s going to be more valuable as the web continues to change our lives. Therefore, everybody is trying to become more creative.
But we don’t have to become creative. We are creative by nature. Are we really aware of this?
It is not only about painting or making music; every time we solve a problem, design a new tool or come up with a good joke we are being creative. It’s a magical process when something sparks inside our brains; one neuron connects with another and we clearly see the piece of the puzzle that was missing.
Because most of the time it’s a very small victory, we are almost unaware of this magical process, but it’s still magic.
Sometimes is not a small victory
From time to time manage to create something awesome: a great article, a nice piece of handcraft, a helpful piece of advice or a solution to a big problem. Sometimes we create something so breathtaking that we ask to ourselves “where did that come from?”
And we all know where that did come from: it came from inside.
Do you want to create a new, fresh product? Looking for a different solution for a problem? Go to where the new things are born: Go within.

Hi there! I’m Gustavo and Frugal Science is about helping you rediscover your exploring nature and enjoying the benefits of looking life in a different way. Anybody can become a true explorer –it’s our nature-, all you need is a mindful attention and some frugal science.

Gustavo,
I love it. All things, big and small, come from within. Once we learn how to celebrate even the smallest victories we begin to see a whole new world. It changes our self-worth!
Celebrate daily!
Thanks
Tammy

I absolutely loved this short and sweet post, Gustavo! It’s so true that many don’t realize how natural creativity is. I felt that I was able to access creativity more freely and easily when I arrived here to the Central Andes. Do you find the same where you are in Ecuador?
I’m not sure what it is, but I think it has to do with the fact that life is simpler here. My mind is less cluttered. I’m also learning to trust my own intuition more and it’s made all the difference.
Thanks so much for connecting with me through my blog, Gustavo. I’m so glad to have discovered yours and look forward to reading more of your thoughts. With a science background myself, I just know that I’ll be able to relate! =)

Hi Tammy,
I love this: “learn how to celebrate even the smallest victories”. As you said, there is a whole new world to discover there. I will try to focus in this topic a bit more.
Thank you for stepping by.
Hi Samantha,
Great to contact you!
I don’t live on the Andes as you. I have been working on a wilder island for 15 years now which is placed (obviously) at the coast, but we are still relatively very close.
For what regards your question: Yes! Living almost isolated here have made me get in touch with my creative self. It was not a natural effect as in your case. In fact, although I was living my dreamed job, I began to feel very bored instead.
Creativity came when I decided to face boredom and stop running away from it, and this is the main topic I want to write about in this blog.
Eager to learn more about you and your blog.
I’m imagining you and your family on an exotic island. =)
How interesting! It’s inspiring to hear that we can make creativity happen when we face boredom. =) Can’t wait to read more of your thoughts! =)
